Rice Paper (22cm round) 400g – Duy Anh

Rice Paper consists of edible ultra-thin sheets of paper rolled out from a mixture of water, rice and tapioca flour and salt to taste. Traditionally used in Vietnamese cooking, rice paper constitutes the wrap in that culinary delight we all know and love: the spring roll. Bamboo Tree rice paper is sold in sheets of thin translucent paper, 22cm in diameter, which can be dipped, ever so briefly, in warm water to soften them up and then wrap either a savoury or a sweet filling.
